How to Delete a User in WordPress

Follow the steps below if you want to delete your account:

1. Login to the WordPress dashboard, and select Users > All Users from the menu on the left.
2. Select the account of one of the users and click Delete.

Keep in mind that as soon as a user’s account is deleted, WordPress will ask you what to do with the post the user wrote. You can choose between the options below:

• Delete their posts.
• Keep the post saved and redirect it to another user.

If you want a user’s post to remain on your website, but you don’t want to redirect it to another user, then don’t delete that user’s account – switch the post to No role for this website. This way, that user’s post can continue to be displayed. It’s just that, this post can’t be operated inside your WordPress admin area.
