1. What is PAN
PAN or the abbreviation of the word Personal Area Network is a term in a computer network that functions to communicate from a computer with other connected devices, such as laptops, smartphones, tablets, speakers and other devices.

This type of network has a relatively small range and cannot be implemented over long distances. PAN itself can connect to the user's personal device known as intrapersonal communication and is able to connect with higher access such as the internet network (an uplink).

Personal area networks can be connected via a computer USB and can be combined with FireWire or WPAN (Wireless Personal Area Network) running wirelessly (without cables). In addition, the PAN network supports various other components such as UWB, ZigBee, Bluetooth and IrDA.

2. Advantages and Disadvantages of PAN Network
A. Advantages of PAN Network
    1. Has a fairly easy network maintenance.
    2. Various errors and errors in the network can be detected easily and quickly.
    3. It doesn't cost much extra.
    4. It supports a variety of today's smart devices, such as smartphones, headsets and so on.
B. Disadvantages of PAN Network
    1. Cannot be applied to large-scale networks.
    2. Only able to connect a few devices, not many devices at the same time.
    3. The coverage area is quite limited, it can only reach a few meters.
